1. What We Collect

When you use VerifAI, we collect the following information:

• Email address — provided by Stripe at checkout, used to deliver your report and send order confirmation.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Document content — your uploaded file is forwarded to a third-party processing service to generate the AI detection report. We do not store the file on our servers.
• Job metadata — we store a record of your order (email, job ID, status, timestamp, and report scores) in our database to facilitate report delivery and support.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To process your payment and verify it was successful.
• To submit your document for AI detection analysis.
• To deliver your report via email.
• To provide customer support if you open a ticket.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate VerifAI:

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Convex — database hosting for order metadata.
• Postmark — transactional email delivery.
• Turnitin API (via third-party) — AI detection processing. Your document is submitted for analysis and is not added to any plagiarism database.

4. Document Storage

We do not store your documents. Your uploaded file is sent directly to the processing service and is not retained on our servers. The generated report is hosted by the processing service and linked to you via email.

Your document is not submitted to Turnitin's plagiarism database and will not appear in any institution's similarity check.

5. Data Retention

Order metadata (email, job ID, status, report scores) is retained for a reasonable period to allow for support requests. You may request deletion of your data by opening a ticket in our Discord server.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie for the admin dashboard. We do not use tracking cookies or any third-party analytics cookies on the customer-facing pages.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us via our Discord server.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
